Known Stable Dell Laptop and Dual Monitor Setups
I'm looking for working Dell laptop configurations with 43 inch+ dual 4k@60 Hz displays. If you have one, I would like to know:
Laptop model/CPU/RAM/discrete graphics card
Display cables and connections used
4k monitor model
BIOS display settings
Windows 11 display settings (sleep, hibernate, lock timeout, etc.)
Any other relevant display-related item
I use a Dell Pro Max 16 Plus MB16250 and NVIDIA RTX PRO 1000 with two Samsung 43" M70Ds direct connected via USB-C to HDMI converter cables for office work (not a video/gaming machine). This setup works as far as displaying 4k@60Hz while in use but has daily issues where at least one screen does not come out of sleep mode and usually requires turning off the monitor, unplugging/replugging the cables, or even rebooting the laptop. I've had similar issues with the 4k Samsung TVs I was using prior to the M70Ds.
In the recent past, I have been using Dell Precision laptops with NVIDIA graphics cards, with and without Dell docks, and 4k Samsung TVs . All of these configurations have had inconsistent problems of the PC not recognizing at least one display at various times - sometimes on wakeup after overnight screen lock, sometimes while actively using the PC for office work. Dell has confirmed both the Precision and Pro MAX support dual 4k@60Hz displays, but I have not been able to achieve a stable configuration for quite sometime, even while keeping BIOS and drivers up to date.
At this point I am just looking for any known stable configuration people are actually using on a daily basis.
