Got new Dell Pro Max 16 and installed Windows 11.  Continue to get an IPF error as follows:

Have installed the Dell Intel Innovation Platform Framework Driver (10 March 2025) and the Dell Intel Dynamic Tuning Driver (20 Mar 2025) from Dell website.

No change in error.  System continues to report this as a problem in Event Viewer.

Opened a case with Dell and they said if laptop working ok, just ignore the error message.

Not normal to have a continued error message about Intel drivers.

Any thoughts on how to resolve this issue?

I already did this. They told me that it is a software issue and I don’t have support for software problems. I can pay to have someone look at the issue but after looking online, I can’t see lots of people with same issue. No reason to pay for a known problems with Dell laptops.

Hello,

My organization found a solution for the same issue that was affecting a majority of our Dell Pro Max users. Note, our users were getting WHEA-Logger errors as well. We waited on posting to confirm that the users are still without issue and they are as of today. Of course, YMMV, but it's worth a shot.

Here are the instructions:

  1. Downloaded Intel and Nvidia drivers to user’s machine first

    1. Intel: https://downloadmirror.intel.com/919751/gfx_win_101.8801.exe
    2. Nvidia: https://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/Quadro_Certified/596.36/596.36-quadro-rtx-desktop-notebook-win10-win11-64bit-international-dch-whql.exe

  2. Installed DDU to user’s machine to help with uninstalling the graphics drivers (here is the guide - note, you have to run it twice in normal mode to be as effective in safe mode)

    • Used DDU to uninstall Nvidia GPU drivers v32.0.15.8195 (aka v581.95) > restarted >>> then uninstalled v32.0.15.7376 (aka 573.76) > restarted again

      • Updated drivers from Nvidia’s site > chose clean install > from v32.0.15.7376 (aka 573.76) to v32.0.15.9636 (aka 596.36)

    • Used DDU to uninstall Intel Arc GPU drivers v32.0.101.8132 > restarted >>> uninstalled them once more > restarted again

      • Updated drivers from Intel’s site from v32.0.101.8132 to v32.0.101.8801> restarted once more

  3. Ran Dell Command Update > installed updates > restarted

  4. Ran sfc /scannow (repaired files) > ran it again

Afterwards, you should no longer see new WHEA-Logger or IPF errors in Event Viewer. New IPF entries should now just be Informational.

I hope this helps!
