Pro14 PC14250 requires power adapter disconnect and 30 second power button hold after sleep.
Hi,
an employee laptop Pro14 PC14250 purchased in June 2025, with all updates installed using Dell Command Update.
Windows 11 Pro.
It has had a motherboard replacement already following a USB-C charging port failure.
It has an issue currently that it will
start to enter "modern sleep" state "Kernel-Power " shown in the windows event log, but require a full power adpater disconnect + 30 second power hold to get working again.
As windows tries to put the laptop to sleep I see
Warnings "Power Manager has requested supression of all input (INPUT_SUPPRESS_REQUEST =1)"
Event id 700 Source Win32k
then
Errors will appear in the event log
Source HAL "The hardware real-time clock was not queried because evaluation of the ACPI Time and Date method failed" Status 0xC00000BB
Source HAL "The hardware real-time clock was not set because evaluation of the ACPI Time and Date method failed" Status 0xC00000BB
EVENT id 20 and 21
Is a windows 11 reinstall or in place upgrade recommended after a motherboard replacement nowadays, or is there a known cause for this behaviour?
