Dell Pro 14/16 Plus PB14255 and PB16255 Wi-Fi Disconnecting
We have received multiple reports about Wi-Fi disconnecting randomly and being unable to select a Wi-Fi network to connect to. This issue appears to only be affecting our new Dell Pro Plus models. We have over 200 Dell Pro 14/16 Plus PB14255 and PB16255s laptops. The issue has been reported since systems have upgraded to MediaTek MT7920/MT7921/MT7922/MT7925 Wi-Fi UWD Driver version 5.7.0.5115, A21 after February 4th, 2026. The issue appears to be similar to this one https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000345336/unstable-wireless-connection-when-using-mediatek-mt7925-wireless-card. Although our laptops driver is newer than reported affected version (5.6.0.3906). Our laptops are configured with the MediaTek Wi-Fi 7 MT7925 Wireless card and we are on the latest version of Windows 11 25H2 OS Build 26200.8037. We have heard form our technicians that unchecking "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" under the Power Management settings for the Wireless adapter has improved the situation.
Do you know if there will be a newer driver released to fix this issue?

Contact Dell GHN (Get Help Now) chat technical support Monday through Friday. Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private Service Tag with them so that they can verify the ownership and warranty status. This will also generate a unique Technical Support case for your unique Service Tag.
Share article 000345336 with the Support agent you reach. Inform them that the issue seems to be unresolved. Please attempt to gather a list of service tags that you have confirmed to have the issue as well. Typically at least 10 tags should do to help escalate an issue. If you happen to have the list of all 200 or so tags, then that will still be beneficial. The agent should then be able to assist with looking into that issue further with you.
