Dell Pro 13-inch Laptop BIOS Update Issues Post

Hi Dell Community,

I had some questions about the Dell Pro 13 that I love and like using very much. However, I been noticing that during the past TWO Bios updates my Windows Hello Features do not work after restart and entering my Windows Pin Gives me an error saying unable to sign in.

Every time I go through these Dell BIOS Updates, I have to reset my Windows Hello/Login Pin, and I feel like the only way to do this is to remove the Windows Face ID Login and Fingerprint for me to login afterwards.

Has anyone encountered the same and can this be addressed for a solution that I can keep my Windows Hello Pin and Fingerprint. (Reinstalling Windows is not my best solution either) I did reinstall all the required drives beforehand as well to see if maybe it was a driver or software issue to no avail.

I have no other concerns and or issues, but this can anyone tell me any workarounds or how can these issues be addressed so that when the user logins the features they had stay available after the bios update?

I do have another device as well that receives BIOS Updates as well regularly maybe 5-6 months into date and time but all the features with my Windows Hello Pin and Face ID still work after reboot for my desktop why is my Dell Pro Laptop is different when it comes to the Windows Hello Features after a BIOS Update and Reboot

Can Someone Please explain or have any solutions or advice or feedback for this?

Our users need to know which specific 13" model before they can correctly troubleshoot?

Hi Chris,

The following model is Pro Premium PA13250, this happened during the last two bios updates my device had. I also did do a clean os install before the 2nd bios update with the same issue. I am not making a big issue about it but wanted to bring it to Dell Community Awareness for this device and other dell Pro devices that may have this issue and a patch, or a solution needs to be made so that Windows Hello does not disable after a bios or firmware update or upgrade.
