3 amber 1 white
Hi
I have a dell pro 14 laptop, that was initially working fine and charging. Until the battery died and then it wouldn't switch on without the charger. When I plugged in the charger it would indicate 3 amber and 1white and wouldn't read the battery in the BIOS at all, as if the battery wasn't plugged in. After opening the laptop unplugging and plugging the battery the laptop would turn on and BIOS could now read the battery as 'excellent', as expected because its a new laptop.
I would like to find out if this is gonna be an on going issue when my battery reaches 0%??

Hi
The 3 amber (orange) and 1 white flashing LEDs on your Dell Pro 14 laptop (likely a Precision 14 series) indicate a CMOS battery failure.
Please can you confirm the Make Model and OS, along with any configuration details like touch screen, backlit keyboard, SFF or tower etc etc.
Avoid the battery going to 0%.
I am unable to be certain as to whether a new Pro 14 has a cmos cell or not, hence the request for a model number.
