Tower Plus EBT2250, question about Transfer Mode and disk Interface?
Just doing some 'peeking' around and looking at how the h/w works and some performance testing against my XPS8940.
Now, by 'feel' I don't see any real 'feel' difference of using the PC's?
Both are 32GB's, and with bootable SSD's, and both WiFi 7 with the same Intel BE200 M.2 card adapter for WiFi.
Programs, like Browers, email clients, etc. are the same... Game Play is different, but generally speaking, both feel the same doing the same operations.
Major differences would be the CPU's, i7 11700 on the 8940 and Intel i7Core 265 Ultra on the Tower. Both are Running Windows 11 Home as well.
I've seen very slow MS Windows Updates on the reboot to complete the install on the Tower compared to the 8940 and slow BIOS Updates too?
A major difference is the disk access mode, 8940, AHCI, Tower, RAID0.
I tried changing to AHCI on the Tower but when changed, it wouldn't finish booting to Windows (which was forced during install to use a PIN) as it could not retrieve the PIN to verify and all I could do was restore the C: drive after going back into BIOS to reset it to RAID0 ( which didn't make it bootable to Windows either, same error).
So in looking at things I've found this problem, with a program call Crystal Disk Info....
Here are what I see on the Tower:
Note the missing Transfer Mode above.
Same program on the 8940:
Transfer mode is filled in.
Anyone else see this as blank on the Tower?
Anyone else see slow completions for MS Updates or BIOS Updated?
C: disk tests fine for all Diagnostic tests?
Confused over this, otherwise the Tower works fine?
Comments?

Those temperatures -- particularly the first drive -- are too high for an NVMe drive. That may be limiting performance, particularly in the the Kioxia drive.

@ejn63
According to the spec's, the Temp range for the Kioxia is -40 ℃ to 85 ℃. 89F is only about 32C?
Should be OK, no?
The SN530 when tested I've had 55C most of the time? Max for it is 70C.
This isn't a 'performance' issue, it seems fast enough, it is just the finishing of MS Updates on a reboot with the Trusted Installer probably running WINRE seems to be 'slow' and takes a lot of DISK accesses to complete the install after 100% before it will reboot to Windows. Suspect some sort or read/write errors, but in WinRE it doesn't seem to write errors to the disk if some should occur?
Wondering if other Tower users see this too? It DOES not seem to have an effect on PC operations though... just a curious error
