Strictly speaking, UEFI does not support USB boot. With a UEFI bootable drive you can boot from a UEFI-bootable flash drive using the boot menu that appears by pressing F12 at powerup a few times.

If the system sees a UEFI-bootable drive, yes. If not, you will not see the option.

initially f2 did see a ventoy drive and i was able to start the installer but it never saw the nvme drive then i tried multiple reboots back to ventoy menu to try other distros and they also failed to see the drive. now i used etcher on a fat32 usb and both f2 and f12 saw it and booted it. and the pop installer now sees the nvme drive.
