Tower Plus EBT2250, new BIOS in Support Drivers & Downloads, but not detected by SupportAssist?
The Support => Drivers & Downloads page indicates that BIOS version 1.5.2 is available for my system. However, the "Check for Updates" feature in the SupportAssist app does not display this version. What could explain this difference?

Each month, when Dell releases the drivers and firmware updates through support and different distribution channels, they don't have them posted at the same time or same day. Eventually, the new BIOS firmware will be notified through Windows updates and be available at Support Assist repository.
About the version numbers, I am guessing the second digit is representing the month the firmware was released based on all the older versions I observed. Example, 1.5.2 was released in May. See others below:

If your system is working well, I suggest to hold off the BIOS update for a couple cycles (months). If the BIOS firmware is still up (not being pulled due to issue), you can feel safe to update it by then.
The reason for my advise, see the important note on this BIOS firmware, once you update it, you can not roll back to previous version. If you get system issue with this new BIOS, you can't revert back to a working BIOS.
