Tower Plus EBT2250, M2 2230 and M2 2280 SSD

Is it possible to add a M2 2280 SSD to an EBT2250 that was shipped with a M2 2230SSD?

If there's room on the MB and a standoff screw is there, or a hole for a standoff screw is there for a 2280, then yes.  Make sure it's the same key as the 2230.

In other words can the EBT2250 have 1 slot with an M2 2230 SSD and the second slot with an M2 2280 SSD?

@bradthetechnut

Thanks Brad, I did see that in the manual, but I wish they made it more clear by stating you can mix the two types.

Either the 2230 or 2280 can be installed in the M.2 slots.  I don't think each slot has to be the same.

Hi Gymbo,

Im trying to do the same thing. I dont see a 2nd screw on the 2280, only the standoff.

Did you had to buy it, and if so, which type I need?

Thank you!

@Rm313

I haven’t bought the EBT2250, so I can’t answer your question.
