Tower Plus EBT2250, locks up & power button blinks amber 1x followed by white 8x
I have an EBT2250 Dell Tower Plus that's almost 1 year old. The warranty is about to expire & I'm concerned about one minor problem that's occurred several times over the last few months. The system locks up & the power button blinks amber 1 time followed by white 8 times. After a restart everything works fine.
I notice that the BIOS version is dated 2/11/25. But when I have the Dell Support app check for updates it says everything's current.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

There is a February 2026 Firmware update for that system.

3,8 isn't documented, but historically undocumented flash patterns are usually associated with power rail problems. Since this will result in the need for a system board replacement, you may want to consider purchasing a warranty extension.
