Tower ECT1250, TB limit
<Moved out of XPS Desktops, into Dell Pro Desktops board. DELL-Admin>
I am looking at a Tower ECT1250. The website says "Your desktop is designed to support up to 2TB SSD and 2TB HDD storage". Is this really true?! I already have a 3TB I'd want to transfer. Also, can the Tower ECT1250 handle two HDDs?

Did your 4TB drive work? I want to install an 8TB drive, can't understand why it would not work in this day and age.

The Dell sales site and Owner's Manual will only state what Dell has tested/validated. In this case, 2 TB.
Could you install a larger drive? Based on other user testing, yes.
Would Dell support you if larger drive did not work? No.

The manual shows support for just one M.2 drive and one 3.5" drive (which could also work with a 2.5" SSD).

Others have reported issued sourcing cables to connect added drives, so you may want to look at a system with more expansion possibility.

@ejn63 Thanks! Any thoughts on the 2 TB limit- is it real?

Unlikely. Just about anything that physically fits will work.

Did you ever resolve this? I just ordered this desktop and wanted to add a 4TB HDD internal drive
