Pro Slim Plus QBS1250, compatible 8-pin male PSU to 8-pin male PCIe cable
Hi, all --
I purchased a Pro Slim Plus QBS1250 desktop with the upgraded 360W PSU (DP/N 04T5P7) to install a discrete graphics card I already own. The PSU doesn't come with a cable, just the header. What cable do I need to use to ensure compatibility on the PSU side? I spoke with two sales reps, one said any modular 8-pin male into the PSU will do and another said Dell doesn't have any of the cables I need (lol). From what I'm seeing online, different modular PSU manufacturers (Corsair, Seasonic, EVGA, etc.) have different pinouts on the PSU side. I want to be sure before I plug anything into this power supply. All I could find Dell-related was this: https://www.amazon.com/Power-Cable-Replacement-R730XD-Nvidia/dp/B0D5WDR4TR
Does someone have a definitive answer? Thank you in advance.

@S.Tech9 Boy oh boy, Dell reaaaaaally didn't want me to drop my own GPU into the Pro Slim Plus, not to mention a 5060, but I finally did it. I received part TK46M - ASSY,CBL,GRAPHIC,PWR,MT,D14 from Dell this morning and I can confirm this is indeed the correct cable for the header on the 360W PSU. I DDU'd the A2000 6GB drivers + apps, dropped in the 5060 and re-installed the Nvidia app and I now have a working 5060 in this SFF and it's firing on all cylinders. Recognized in the BIOS, turned on Resizeable BAR, jumped into Warzone to test and running like buttah at 1080P 120FPS with DLSS. The overlay works again, something that was bugging out on the A2000 with both game ready and studio drivers since earlier this year. I'm so pumped with this little gaming box. Happy hunting, everyone.

This is kind of crazy. No one at Dell can give me a straight answer. Tech support has no idea what I'm talking about. They don't understand that I have a cable-less header out of the PSU. Sales agents give me different responses. One said any modular ATX PSU to PCIe cable should work. Another said I should have received a cable already connected to the PSU from the warehouse. The one I spoke to today said that I should have received a separate box with two cables. I know these are new products but dang.

Alright, I have found out from a Dell sales rep that the cable required for the header is part MX6YG - Mini 8-pin to 6+2 pin PCIe cable. They have none in stock and have no indication as to when they will. I check in once a day via chat, takes less than 2 minutes.
In the meantime, I've tried dropping in the 360W PSU for a Vostro 3020, which is a perfect fit, has 6 and 6+2 PCIe power cables and has the same color/pinout on the 8-pin connector for the board BUTTTTTTT the new PSUs have some sense wires that trigger a BIOS alert and massive throttling of the CPU/system if they don check out. See pics below.

Yep, this is unreal.
Orederd a cable from Dell, provided the service tag from the QBS1250, also provided the Dell part number from from this PSU, for $39 the sent me a wrong cable, not even close what we need.

I ordered a cable from Dell parts, it was " only" $39.99 for specifically this 360W PSU, of course it’s not even close what they sent.
Also ordered a Dell server cable which looked really promising but the mini 8 pin connector going to the PSU is different, they are not compatible…
ended up making the cable myself. It`s aint pretty! Like Version 1.0 but the 5060 LP is pretty happy!

Wait you guys are running the 5060 off the stock 360W PSU?? I thought the 5060 needed a 550W power supply?

@SkoolTek We sure do! No pain no gain! :)
We are talking about the Low profile version of the 5060 and taps out at 145W max power consumption no matter what.
