Pro Slim Plus Desktop green power light on the back

Earlier today while the machine was in sleep mode, I noticed that the power light would go off for a second the come back on. It did this for about a minute or so. As far as I know, it has been on steady since. Sort of like there was some sort of diagnostics going on. Wondering if this is normal.

Dell GHN (Get Help Now) chat technical support must verify the ownership and warranty status. Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private Service Tag with them. Once verified, they will troubleshoot with you.

Before our users can correctly assist in troubleshooting, are you referring to the Pro Slim Plus QBS1250?

@DELL-Chris M Yes it is the QBS1250. I had to find it on the invoice as it does not seem to be anywhere on the computer.  I simply thought someone on a user forum might know the answer. The get help now chat wanted me to do a Built In Self Test but I was unable to find the button to push.

Perhaps they were referring to this? From the online Pro Slim Plus QBS1250 Owner's Manual page 9 =

@DELL-Chris M Thanks again for your help. It never occurred to me to look for an online manual so thanks for the link. In it there is a section about the psu bist test and it does not give a direct link (of course) but references a Dell site where you can do a search. I am not a big fan of AI having seen some really weird search results, but in this case it really helped me out.

It really does not name a specific Dell system but shows two results. One for a system with a button next to the power cord which I do not have and one for systems without a button. Apparently user support only saw the first one in the knowledge base(?).

I ran the test and got a solid green light which is good and then the light correctly went off after about three seconds. I am going to attempt to attach the screen shot I took.
