Pro Max Tower T2 FCT2250, installing WLAN card?

Cross posting from the german forum here.

I've got a Dell Pro Max Tower T2 FCT2250 without WLAN. So I bought an Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX2103 M.2 2230 card. Installing the card should be pretty straightforward but I can't find the connector cables on the mainboard. Any hints where these are would be welcome.

Thanks in advance

Bernd

@KhanhTuong

Please can you confirm the Make Model and OS, along with any configuration details like touch screen, backlit keyboard, SFF or tower etc etc.

Hi

https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-us/dell-pro-max-fct2250-desktop/dell-pro-max-tower-fct2250-owners-manual/wireless-module?guid=guid-17e9c29d-abc5-44bd-95ce-79e58b869635&lang=en-us

If absent (common in base models without WLAN), external antenna kits aren't standard; users report sourcing compatible Dell pigtails or aftermarket options via forums.

Hi

Hope this helps................

  • Attach the two antenna cables: the white (main) cable to the connector marked with a white triangle, and the black (auxiliary) cable to the black triangle connector on the card. These cables are pre-routed inside the chassis, often clipped near the rear panel or PCIe slots.

Antenna Cables Location

The antenna cables originate from small I/O ports or mounts on the rear of the chassis (visible externally as antenna connectors) and route internally to the M.2 slot area. They may be secured with clips along the side panel or near the system board; gently unplug them from any existing card before installation. Replace the side cover, reconnect power, and install drivers via Dell SupportAssist or the card manufacturer's site.

Unless they are missing.

I'll have another look, even though I haven't seen any external antenna connectors either.

Unless they are missing.

:-) This is what I fear.

@Lemminger In addition to those great suggestions, if the connectors are not there an alternative could be something like this or this at Amazon.

@JOcean

Thanks for the tip. I'll see if I can get something like that from some other seller so that my expenses for the card were not spent uselessly.

@anne_droid

It really looks as if there are no cables installed when the computer comes without WLAN and Bluetooth. Too sad.
