No HDD or ODD drive bay unless a Dell HDD or ODD is ordered
A small print notation is added in the Slim ECS1250, Pro Slim QCS1250, Tower ECT1250, Pro Tower QCT1250 Owner's Manual, but buyer may not read before order. Listed under "Removing the drive bay" =
“NOTE:The drive bay is only available in computers shipped with a hard drive.”

There seems to be two distinctly different design of hdd tray. One design has 3.5 hdd directly mounted on the tray via 4x #6-32 screws en face. Dell video mentions: for Dell Slim ECS1250 or the Dell Tower ECT1250.

The other design has 4x “HP style” side mount blue grommet which lets the 3.5” hdd slide into a caddy of the tray.

This more elaborate design allows a slim odd to be mounted on top of 3.5 hdd. Dell video mentions: for
Dell Pro Tower QCT1250/ QCT1255, Dell Pro Tower Plus QBT1250, Dell Pro Slim QCS1250/QCS1255, or the Dell Pro Slim Plus QBS1250.
