Dell Pro Max Tower T2 FCT2250 compatibility with GTX cards

Hi Dell community,

I am about to buy a Dell Pro Max Tower T2 (FCT2250) with a 1500W PSU and
T2 Graphics holder, but no additional GPU, just the integrated graphic card.

I would like to know whether this GPU card can work with it:

https://www.zotac.com/lv/product/graphics_card/zotac-geforce-gtx-1070-mini-0

It has the following relevant specifications and dimensions:

  • PCI Express: 3.0
  • Slot Size: Dual Slot
  • Card Length: 210mm x 122mm
  • Power Input: 8-pin

I have a few questions:

  1. Can it be fitted in the Gen5 PCI slot present on the machine?
  2. Will its size fit in the case/PCI slots space? I am especially concerned about its height (122mm) while those supported have an height of 4.4" (circa 112mm), so it's about a centimeter taller.
  3. Is there any chance that it is going to work with such desktop since it's not RTX?

There is a related post about RTX: https://www.dell.com/community/en/conversations/dell-pro-desktops/pro-max-tower-t2-fct2250-compatibility-with-older-quadro-gpu/68c70abb3ce259707314dbe0

Where I don't see any reference to GTX.

Regards,
Florido

GTX will work. these are considered legacy GPU so Dell is not validating them on the newest model.  1500w psu has the required

  • Power Input
    8-pin for the gpu
