Dell Pro 24 35w or 65w - fan noise at idle et low charge ?

I bought a Dell Pro 24 35W with a Core Ultra 5 235T. The fan makes noise even when idle. It’s light, it doesn’t ramp up, but in a quiet environment this slight buzzing is noticeable. It’s not the airflow that bothers me, it’s the mechanical noise.

Is the 65W model affected as well? I’ve already had Dell AIOs, even entry-level ones, and under normal use or even when idle they were completely silent…

I saw in the manuals that the fan seems larger on the 65W model (higher quality?) and that there’s a second fan for the built-in power supply. I really want a quiet machine. And Dell still seems to be making noisy systems…

Thanks for your feedback.

I’ve noticed the same. Same spec as yours. An ever present hum which is pretty annoying. Did you speak to dell?

Yes, I spoke with support and they suggested possibly replacing the fan. I’m not sure it would make much of a difference. But this slight humming noise is annoying in a quiet office. I used to have an Inspiron all-in-one that made no noise at all, except when the processor was under heavy load. It’s really a shame that, in this professional range, the fans are of such poor quality.

We are considering testing Lenovo all-in-ones. I have a new Dell Pro SFF that has the same issue—the fan makes this annoying humming noise.
