8-pin PCIe power cable for Dell Tower ECT1250
I have a Dell Tower ECT1250. The owner's manual states it can handle a GPU up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060.
However, that GPU requires an 8-pin PCIe cable; I don't see one inside when I open the desktop.
Do you / can you purchase a separate 8-pin cable?
Thanks for any help that you can provide; I'm not finding anything online.

You need to upgrade to a higher power psu that has the 8 pin PCIe connector

@redxps630 thank you for the reply. I’ll try get in touch with Sales as I can’t find one. I got the platinum 300W PSU but doesn’t have the cable. Thanks again.

@redxps630 I bought Dell P/N PCFT5 which was supposed to be compatible with ECT1250 and has 8 pin connector, but it doesn’t suit.
No idea now what psu dell include in the GPU compatible model of the ECT1250.
anyone know? Thanks

ECT1250 is essentially Inspiron “3040” a successor of Inspiron 3030.
PSU can be upgraded to Inspiron 3020/3910 Dell validated up to 460w
Inspiron 3020/3030 460W PSU =
4H6F4 Acbel
5W40K Huntkey
VTG94 Chicony
user validated psu 500W Dell TPX56.

Re: bought Dell P/N PCFT5 which was “supposed” to be compatible with ECT1250 and has 8 pin connector
PCFT5 is for older model Inspiron 3891, completely incompatible with 3910, 3020/3030 and ECT1250.
