System Update Tasks - Compliant or Non compliant

Despite discovering and inventorying ESXi hosts with WSMAN iDRAC (server out of band) as recommended in the system update - issues and resolutions for updates, systems are not showing up as non-compliant or compliant.

I have verified WSMAN connectivity using the Dell Trouble Shooting Tool.

Really tearing my hair out over this as we are unable to use this tool to do any firmware patching.

Help!

Hi,

Thanks for the post.

Few clarifications required to identify the issue.

1. What is the version of OME ?

2. What is the model of server on which ESXi is hosted?

3. What is the version of ESXi?

4. Have you discovered both in-band & out-of-band ?

5. While selecting discovery protocol, did you enable SNMP ?

Try deleting the device from OME & discover via Out-of-band by selecting only WSMan protocol.

If still issue persist, try clicking on "Refresh" icon in "Non-Complaint" tab.

Let us know whether it helps.

Hi,

Just to minimize and understand the problem, can you try discovering and inventorying only the iDRAC IP using WSMAN and see if that classifies correctly as non-compliant or compliant?
