Still unable to open OME in web browser from my desktop

It opens fine on the management server, but when I try it from my own desktop, after I enter my login creds, the wheel spins until it reaches 100%, then . . . nothing.  No data.  Plain white screen with nothing on it.

Any suggestions?

Hi KBeau,

Might be good to try it with FireFox and see if that runs.  It could be an IE security setting or some sort.  How about these sites?

Is your install of Silverlight up to date?

I believe my Silverlight is up to date.  It is set to update automatically and is at version 5.1.40728.0

Hi Rob,

I get the same result with Firefox, prompt to login, credentials accepted, starts loading the page, then . . . .nothing.

The demo sites you provided don't appear to do much other than a strobe of blue lights forming a circle with '100%' in the center of it.

Figured this out.  I had to remove the permissions (within the Silverlight application) for my url to the management server, then I uninstalled Silverlight and re-installed it and now can open the url on my desktop and no longer have to go to the server to open it.

The site was listed as https:// name>:2607

I actually now use the IP address in the url and although it did not get added under the Permissions tab on Silverlight, it opens up just fine now.

This was tested only on IE, I haven't done anything with Chrome or Firefox.

Thanks to all!

I had this working for a while and now it is not working again.  IE fails when trying to open.  No error given, just shows a window that says Internet Explorer has stopped working.  Windows is checking for a solution to the problem . . .

Of course it doesn't find a solution so then I get presented with a window that says:

Internet Explorer has stopped working.

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

Am now using IE 11 with the most recent Silverlight version.  I cannot use Firefox or Chrome, they don't work either.

Anyone else going through this?  Very, very frustrated!

This has been resolved by uninstalling Silverlight and re-installing.

Seems like you have this one odd issue of uninstalling and reinstalling silverlight. Hope it does not happen anymore.
