Stacked Dell N3000 Series Switches discovered multiple times in OME 2.1

Hi

We have an issue here with Dell OME 2.1 (brand new installation on a new machine) whereby the discovery schedule is picking up multiples of our Dell N3000 Series switches. It appears as though each time the discovery schedule runs, a duplicate of the switches appears under Devices. We can remove the duplicates, however each and every time the discovery schedule runs, they will reappear (The schedule is set to run daily, so after say 5 days, there will 5 instances of the same switch under Devices). The behavior is common to two separate switch stacks that are implemented in this environment (Both using N3000 Series switching).

We are also monitoring a couple of other devices with SNMP, including two Dell EqualLogic arrays and we do not see the same issues with these devices.

Am I missing something at all? Are we good to disable the discovery schedule once all devices are discovered (this is quite a small hardware estate so we should be ok to do this).

Kind Regards

Matt

Regret that this post was overlooked and delay in responding to this thread.

This is a bug in OME version 2.1 and we are committed to fix this soon.

Thanks,
Vijay.

Apparently there is a hotfix for this now.

en.community.dell.com/.../19681502

Is it possible to get a link to it please.

Thanks

Liam
