Question about Discovery/Inventory/Status Schedule
Hello.
I have a question.
Can I disable Discovery/Inventory schedule?
I'll execute discovery/inventory manually when new devices installed.
and Can I disable Status Schedule?
If status schedule disabled, alert function work properly?

Hi and thanks for the post.
You can go to the Discovery portal page--the place you created your discovery ranges...from there you should find a setting to un-check the discovery/inventory schedule.
As for status, I would keep it at 1 hour. This is the poll that will check the hardware health for all of your devices.
If, however, you are only using OME as an SNMP trap receiver, you can disable this too I suppose. But the health icon on the device tree will likely not get updated unless a trap comes in on a particular device.
Thanks,
Rob

If you want to disable the status schedule uncheck 'enable status polling'
On demand poll means that when an SNMP trap comes into OME, OME will then (on demand) go out and check the hardware health of that device via an SNMP query and update the health icon on the tree.

Hi Rob,
Thanks for fast answer.
I have further question about status schedule.
I want to know difference between "Enable Ondemand Poll" and "Enable status polling"
Which one should be unchecked for the disabling status schedule?
