PowerEdge R620 reporting wrong iDrac7 firmware version in OME.

OpenManage Essentials is displaying the wrong iDRAC7 firmware version. The last ".30" in the version number is not being displayed, resulting in all PowerEdge R620s displaying as non compliant under System Update.

Current iDRAC7 version on server: 2.30.30.30

Reported Installed version: 2.30.30

Available version: 2.30.30.30

OpenManage Essentials Version 2.2.0.2056

Same problem is also occurring on some R720s.

From OME Firmware Information:

iDRAC7 2.32.31 (Build 3)
Lifecycle Controller 2 2.32.31.30

OME System Update:

Installed Version: 2.32.31

Available Version: 2.32.31.30

Same issue here, it does not appear to correctly resolve the last section of the version # for iDRAC.  Did you get anywhere with this yet?

If it try to download and manually apply the iDRAC firmware, no change in OME reporting.  Still reports the 2.32.31.30 as required and 2.32.31 as installed.

Please open a support ticket for this with Dell support, that way we can get this issue to the correct teams.

Hi,

Thanks for the post.

Can you share the "Data Sources" and "Software Information" screenshot for the affected Servers?

This will enable us to analyze/confirm the cause of the problem.

With initial glance, this looks like that iDRAC firmware has been updated to the latest and the Server is discovered using OMSA (Server Administrator) agent which is not updated.

We will be able to confirm once we get the above information for the affected servers.

Thanks,
Vijay
