OpenManage Essentials warranty report issue

Hello all.

I recently installed OpenManage Essentials 2.1.0.2635 (fresh install, not upgrade) and have a small issue with the warranty information and reporting.

I have configured the Warranty notification settings and I can view warranty information under the reports section.

Some of our servers have a base warranty (expired), as well an extended warrant (still valid). The problem seems to be that the Warranty Types are ALL  listed as 'Initial', so the email report will flag a server as expired even if it has a valid extended warranty.

I'm hoping that this is something that others have come across, for which there is a known workaround as I think the functionality is great, but not if I have to double check all the information.

Hi,

Thanks for the details in the post.

In the warranty email settings section, there is one check to "Include Expired Warranties". Hope you have unchecked that setting if you wish to see only active warranties which will be expiring in near future based on the "Days" setting you have done.

Alternatively, you can see the details in Warranty Report under Reports section in OME UI and chose standard grid filtering/grouping option to filter the data based on your choice.
