OpenManage Essentials Version 2.0 Collecting Firmware and Driver Inventory

ive installed 2.0

i was able to inventory 2 servers via "iDRAC (server out of band)"    "WS-MAN"

now I am trying to collect FW inventory so I can test upgrading the drac fw.

no matter what I do I get "error select at least one server"

but the servers dont show up.. if I create a new group and add them into the group,

the group is visible in the "Create F/W & Driver Inventory Task" window but when I check the box and try to finish, it still says "error select at least one server"

I'm pretty sure that particular task is only needed for in-band system updates.

It looks like you are using out of band (iDRAC/WSMan).

In this case, I think you are all ready to go.  You discovered via WSMan, now just go to Manage | System Updates and you should be able to see your compliance report and update from there.  You don't need that task you are trying to create.

Can you let me know if going to the System Update portal page works for you?

forgot to mention,

if I do "select a query" and do a new query, then list by IP contains..

nothing shows up but the machines are inventoried.
