Hi,
There is no risk but with that being said it is always a good idea to backup the server and database before an upgrade. You will not lose any settings.
A restart is not necessary I believe but after the upgrade it is wise to do so.

Hi,
thanks for the reply. Is there a option to save the database out of the OME? Could find anything.
Thanks

No, you need to install SQL Management Studio 2012 to create a backup.
