OME OpenManage Essentials does not see that I have out of date Perc 6/I Integrated Controller Firmware - HELP
I need to update the Perc 6/i integrated controller firmware on a server which I've added to OME, and like all the other servers so far I've added to OME it does not show it as an update to apply in OME under System Updates. All i ever see for updating is in the list is BIOS, Idrac, Dell OS, Dell 32 Diagnostics, nothing for Perc6/i controller. I've enabled CSIOR as per other post suggest and rebooted and removed the server and re added many time and still no luck.
- OME version = 2.1.0.2635
- Server model I’m trying to update PERC on = Power Edge R410
- Inventory method = (WS-MAN to iDRAC)
- In or Out-of-Band updates = Out of Band
- Installed OS of machine I’m trying to update = CENTOS
- OMSA version on OS = Not installed
The reason i'm doing this through OME is the Linux guy is having issues updating through the shell command so i want to do through OME.
He got this
[root@umdl44back01 ~]# ./SAS-RAID_Firmware_F96NR_LN_6.3.3-0002_X00.BIN
Collecting inventory...
............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
Inventory collection failed.
Try again
[root@umdl44back01 ~]# ./SAS-RAID_Firmware_F96NR_LN_6.3.3-0002_X00.BIN
Collecting inventory...
...............
Inventory collection failed.
Any ideas?

Are your DRAC and Lifecycle controller updated to the latest version?
When you are logged into the DRAC GUI is the LC version listed or is it blank?
Is CISOR enabled?

Hi Cameron,
DRAC and Lifecycle controller firmware was updated as a first step as they were showing as out of date. They are now fully up to date.
CISOR is enabled and when i reboot i can see it doing an inventory
In DRAC I can see the LC firmware is 1.5.5.27
What else could this be or should you need me to check?

Hi MARKC0007,
The current LifeCycle controller and iDRAC version you have are not supported by OME. See http://www.dell.com/support/manuals/us/en/19/dell-openmanage-essentials-v2.1/omesm/Supported-agents?guid=GUID-1A456FCA-3C2C-411B-9FBE-26F79CFE9C3E&lang=en-us
Please upgrade those and let CSIOR run again.

Lifecycle firmware is up-to-date
Can not update the iDrac firmware as it requires 32bit packages. The troublesome one is libxml2
The very latest 32 bit package is older than the 64bit package. There is no newer version available and compiling from source does not complete - people have tried porting the 64bit version to 32bit but I can't find any successes.

Hi Markc0007,
So the LC is now upgraded to version v1.7.5?
To upgrade the iDRAC download iDRAC6_2.85_A00_FW_IMG.exe and extract the image somewhere, then in the iDRAC upload the firmimg.d6 and update it from there.
