OME Discovery Fails

I run discovery once a week on a Saturday and periodically it fails. It used to be that I could re-run Discovery on all of the subnets and work out which one was causing the issue but now they all seem to run through successfully when I run them manually. Is there a way that I can see which subnet or device is causing them to fail?

I am running 2.0.1.222 on an R620 with 2x 2.9GHz 8 Core Xeons and 32GB of RAM

Hi Jaimieh,

I might not have understood the problem correctly but i will try to answer.

What you are saying is discovery and inventory is failing to run when it runs periodically but when you run it manually, it runs fine. Is that right? And you are saying that before, it used to run properly without any manual intervention.

Few questions:

  • What are the protocols used for discovery?
  • Do you have one IP range or multiple ranges for discovery?
  • How do you know that it has failed, does it stop automatically? Or do you see it running forever?
