OME detecting device as a OEM device/Server
Hello,
I have about 200 servers hooked up to Open manage essentials, all using the same method. We log into the DRAC using WS-Man.
There are a few devices that are being registered as OEM devices or Servers. Any idea how to get around this? Does this suggest that there is something wrong with my lifecycle controller?
Thank you

Thanks for the question.
Is there any reason the servers that are getting incorrectly classified as OEM might have a different connection response time? Or perhaps f/w version? We've seen this error if there is a connection timeout and the WSMan call is unable to pull the model number from the server, hence it gets dumped in OEM.
Are they on WAN or local network?
Some folks might increase timeout or retry on the WSMan discovery settings page.
Otherwise there is a setting for OEM in the dconfig.ini file that can totally turn off OEM classification (for newer versions of OME).
Actually though it would be great to get a support ticket open (800-945-3355) so we can get a closer look at these devices and see whats up.
Thanks,
Rob

Hello,
After doing some firmware upgrades most of the systems have flipped over from an OEM device. The other systems are having issues with their lifecycle controller.
Thank you
