OME 2.4 - Previously detected devices now showing as Unknown/Unclassified
I first discovered the problem when doing some maintenance in OME. I saw some hosts had incorrect information in their Device Summary pages, and re-running scan and inventory was not updating it. I decided to delete the devices and re-detect them via Discovery and Inventory, but the hosts would not show up again. I double-checked the settings for WS-MAN + SNMP detection, but they are correct.
I also had this happen with at least half of our client workstations (including mine), if I deleted them from Devices, they wouldn't be detected again, their WMI detection settings are correct and they have Dell Command Monitor 9.3 installed. I tried updating to 10.0 on my workstation and enabling SNMP detection, but no change with either. Everything looks good on the Troubleshooting Tool.
What I did find was that when I changed the Discover setting in Discovery Schedule from Instrumented Devices to All Devices, the hosts and workstations did show back up but as Unclassified with only their network adapters and IPs being listed.
I restarted the OME services on the server but that had no effect. I also verified our McAfee AV/Firewall are not blocking the traffic. As far as I know, no other changes have been made to the server hosting OME.

In all such cases, most of the time culprits are either wrong credentials or firewall. Since you have verified both of these, I would recommend you to get in Touch with Dell Support, they can have a closer look at your setup and environment and help in resolving this problem. This does not look like issue with specific system and rather a generic behavior with all devices, so problem may not be with OME setup itself.

Hi KevinA-REJIS,
Check out the Dell KB below, it's addresses the issue you are seeing.
OME - iDRAC or CMC displays an “unknown” status after upgrading to 2.40.40.40 or later

Good luck.

Good news and bad news.
The bad news is that the fix TNguyen suggested didn't work, there are still two ESXi hosts missing, and if I turn the All Devices on under Discovery Schedule, some items still show as Unclassified.
The good news is I did figure out the workstations issue, it did turn out to be a firewall issue, two in fact. Part of the problem was that our McAfee firewall was indeed blocking some of the traffic, once I created the correct exception the workstations were detected again. It took awhile to figure out due to how the McAfee firewall works with the Windows firewall. I had tried an OME scan on my workstation with my McAfee firewall disabled and it still didn't work, but unbeknownst to me at the time, the Windows firewall was still running! McAfee must have changed something recently, because that didn't happen with earlier versions.
