OME 2.1 - System Update Failed

Good morning,
I'm sorry for my English.
I have a list of Dell servers to update Idrac, OsDriverPack, etc ...,
but, on some servers by error:

Option 1: File deploy command failed to execute.
Option 2: Results: Starting software update on the target. The time required for update tasks to complete may Vary Depending on the number of packages selected. If the task status or task progress percentage has not changed for 60 minutes, perform the Following actions:
1. Restart the DSM Task Manager Service from Windows Services (Refer to product readme for more details on how to restart the service)
2. Restart the target
3. Re-run the inventory for the target using OpenManage Essentials

I performed all the required options but the result has not changed.
I also proceeded to download the file from the Dell website and install the package directly on the server, and I install it successfully, while the console remains as an upgrade to do even after providing it up again "Discovery and invertory".

How can I solve the problem?

I am waiting for your response

Best regards
Luca

Hi Luca,

Thanks for the post.

Few clarifications:

1. What is the version of OME you are using?

2. Is the target server windows or Linux ?

3. What is the model of server which you are updating?

You can use Trouble shooting tool installed along with OME, System update-> In band update test.

Few checks to ensure proper update:

1. Please use administrator credentials.

2. If you are updating a server which is part of domain, please use domain credentials

3. Ensure c:\windows\temp folder of the server which is getting updated have enough space

4. If server is rebooting, ensure it completes the booting cycle.

5. Firewall configurations are set properly.

Alternatively, you can use iDrac to update the firmwares.

Hope it helps.
