OME 2.0.1 not reporting compliant state of CMC 5.1

Folks,

I have 4x1000e chassis, each with redundant CMC, discovered  by OME using WS-MAN. The OME software can discover and inventory CMC fine but it is not reporting on compliant status of those CMCs whereas other blade (M630) are reporting fine.
The OME is configured to use online catalog directly from Dell. Switching Discovery protocol to SNMP does not resolve the matter. I have also try to deleted and re-add the CMC but nothing change.

Anyone able to report on compliant state of CMC?

cheers,

Alex

Hi Alex,

Thanks for the post!

But we would need some more details on the information provided, as that will help us to understand it much better:

With "The OME software can discover and inventory CMC fine but it is not reporting on compliant status of those CMCs whereas other blade (M630) are reporting fine". Does that mean:

1. The CMC is not listed under any of these Compliant\Non-Compliant tabs? Or is it always listed under Compliant tab?

2. Along with that, what is the current CMC version you have?

3. Under CMC details, do you see Software Inventory table listed up?

Thanks

Hi Ranveer,

Cmc is listed under compliant page, cmc is running on version 5.1, which I expect it to be in non-compliant state as there is 5.2 available at the moment, ome can inventory the cmc fine

I can confirm that Dell catalog'status is showing as up to date, but how do i check if cmc version 5.2 is in the catalog?

Thanks for looking into this issue

Alex

Hi Alex,

Thanks for the confirmation.

Currently, the latest catalog which is available will not carry "5.02" firmware as the latest "5.02" firmware will be available in the upcoming catalog which is planned to be (tentatively) released on 7/24. So, stay tuned for the updated one!

Usually, to identify the version is carried in catalog or not, you can have the catalog.cab downloaded from the same location where OME downloads(i.e. downloads.dell.com/.../catalog.cab). Then, extract the cab which in turns gives you the catalog.xml and that's where you can search for it!

Hope this helps!

Thanks

Ranveer
