OME 2.0 just stops doing a discovery
Hi,
Need some help please, we're currently running OME2.0 on a VM with 4 cores 4gb RAM, I've setup 8 different VLANS to be scanned and discovered, 3 have worked fine to 100% but all the others appear to set off and just stop at a certain percentage, different most of the time, upon scanning just one I've found that doing 6 scans the scan just stops without error at 22 or 23% with a task status of "Stopped", I've tried to exclude the last two machines in the list thinking it was a "hang up" but this has made no difference.
These are a whole range of servers from 1950 / 2950 / 710 / 720 / 610
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Jamie,
Could you post your discovery range settings (IP Ranges, Protocols, etc)?

When you say servers do you mean the server OS Ip range or the iDRAC's and for the storage what kind of storage are you talking about.

What are you trying to discover in the range, Servers, iDRAC's, Storage?
If you only want to inventory Server OS and iDRAC's only select SNMP or WMI for the OS and WS-MAN for the iDRAC's
See this chart for the recommendations.

Sorry - The servers IP and everything about the server - using SNMP. we are talking MD storage of various flavours.
We are using a different vlan and range scan for iDRACs so this isn't a feature of this failing scan.

In that case only enable SNMP and the PowerVault protocol and disable the EMC protocol.

Make sure SNMP is installed and configured in the Windows servers.

Restart the server and do a Discovery and Inventory of the Range in question.

If it does not finish take a look in the logs and post them here.
