Installing OMSA fails on Poweredge R720xd Server 2012r2

During the install process of OMSA on Server 2012 r2, it fails with the error that windows installer has stopped working. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Hello

Make sure you have administrative privileges on the system and you are using the correct version. Also, make sure you are installing in the host operating system and not a virtual machine. This is the version you should be using:

Thanks

That is the version I tried before, but I went ahead and downloaded it again, and tried running it. I am running on the server OS as Administrator. Please see the screenshot.

I just installed that package on one of my servers running 2012R2 to verify there are no issues with it. It installed without any issues.

This is an issue with your operating system or another application running in your operating system. I suggest shutting down as many applications as possible. If you haven't restarted the system in a while then you may want to restart during your next maintenance window as well. There may be an installation or update that is pending a restart. Keep in mind that you should restart after installing OMSA as well.
