Install OME 2.0.1 on Hyper-V Host?

I have a T110 II as my Hyper-V host, several guest VMs and a single workstation joined to a domain running on one of the VMs (solo developer shop).

Can OME be installed directly on the host? I can point it to a SQL instance on a VM if necessary.

Thanks,

Hi Jeff,

OME can be installed on a Windows 2012 VM provided it has the minimum 4 cores and 4GB RAM allocated.  If so, then you are good to go.  That said, I'm not super familiar with the T110 and am more knowledgeable with the PowerEdge server line. Hope that helps a bit.

Ok, yep.  yeah, OMSA would be the way to go for when you have just a few boxes...thx!

Hi Rob

Thanks for the info. I hadn't looked into the system requirements for OME; I wasn't aware that it requires 4GB RAM. I only have a maximum 32GB on the host, so things are tight. It looks like I'll have to skip OME.

Which may not be too awfully bad, at least in my case. I was looking at it only for monitoring the drives on my H200, a functionality which appears to be provided by my current OMSA installation. I'm currently in the process of investigating further.

Thanks,
