How to Remote Power Task work
I tried to create a new power task to power-off the system immediately, but I don't know how to fill correct "Enter credentials of the remote target" information. I tried to use OME administrator account/ remote BMC account and remote host OS account, but I got failed result as below.
The task has failed because there are no target devices or the device selected as a target does not support this type of task.
For a detailed reference on the tasks that can be run against specific devices and discovery methods,
see the Managing Remote Tasks section in the User Guide. Also check if Dell OpenManage BMC Utilities are installed.
How to resolved this issue?

Hi,
Look under Managing Server Power Options on setting up. Be sure that the WMI service is running. Instructions for deploying can be found on page 296 of the Dell EMC OpenManage Essentials Version 2.3 User's Guide.

Hi,
WMI service is running and I don't know what kind of remote credential for task I have to fill out. I tried to use the local account from installed OME system, but failed. Should I fill the account that is from remote system I want to control? I installed Linux system on target.

Hi,
The utility you are using to run the WMI service on the target should have credentials that you would use for the Power Task.
As an alternative, you can use the RACADM CLI to run commands through the iDRAC. Instead of selecting Server Power Options select Command line. The RACADM CLI Guide can be found at:

Thank you,
