How to mitigate failed driver/firmware update via OME
How does one handle failed driver or firmware updates deployed via OME or OMSA?
I am drafting a plan and need to include Fallback steps should a driver/firmware update fail. I've not experienced this myself.
How easy is it to revert back to the former driver/firmware version should an error occur?
Is the failed driver/firmware issue resolved locally on the server?
Thank you for any assistance/insight you can offer!

Hi Thanks for your query. Usually Dell Update Packages are not destructive, meaning if they fail to apply they wouldn't affect the system.
previous version is retained as-is.
In case where update is successful and for some reason you would like to revert, you can"Enable downgrades" from OME->System update->Advanced options.
This will enable you to deploy previous version of package if required.
Thanks,
Arun
