FS8600 in Dell OpenManage Essentials 2 reported as unknown

Hi.

Using the troubleshooting tool from the tests are showing the error: The SNMP read request has failed for Get Communitiy name. I already confirmed the name is correct.


The FS8600 version is 4.0.210020
I´m able to ping the ip, telnet to miscellaneous ports with success, SNMP is not openning via telnet.

Hi Sergio,

Are you sure the case-sensitivity is correct when you typed in the name?  That thing always works :)  

Is this SNMP v1, v2?  Is it set up ok for v1 on the FS8600?  (I'm not familiar with it myself).

Ok,

I wonder if it is possible that the SNMP stack on the appliance has crashed(?)

Can you call and open a ticket (800-945-3355)?  Hopefully they can id the problem quickly.

Yes, comunity name are correct.

The SNMP settings for FS8600 are pretty basics, unable to detect or modify from SNMP 1 to 2
