Feature enhancement - Change Request
Hello,
I have been working with Dell OpenManage Enterprise for several years. I enjoy the product and consider it a very valuable tool. I have a few suggestions to help users with Navigation and daily operations.
1. While a job is running in the Job Details the target system should be a hyperlink. With the current view the user must go back to the Devices area and the sort to find the device and check status.
2. In Configuration / Driver Compliance can you create the view to toggle between the baseline name and the target system? Again, having to go back out to the Devices view and find the target running the updates can be time consuming.
3. While I understand not updating and removing catalogs for systems at EOSL, most businesses continue to use older equipment for testing and legacy environments. Dell should leave the catalogs and resources available for EOSL servers, but when an update comes from the older EOSL catalog it should prompt that the "updates are to be run at your own risk". example - PowerEdge R720/R730 servers.
4. Also, under Monitor / Troubleshoot, can you make the test protocol and ping device results more verbose? Trying to troubleshoot firewalls and routing between remote systems, network shares, the internet, and OpenManage Enterprise can be very frustrating without good tools.
5. Lastly, can you create a schedule option for the Console and plug-ins updates? This can be found under App Settings / Console and Plugins. It would be nice to tell OpenManage not to go check for updates for the next 90 days.

I appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us, as well as compile the list of feature ideas. I have submitted the list to the OpenManage team for their consideration, but I would be unable to tell you when or if they would implement them.
