FC640 with RAID SD cards - BIOS 2.2.9

Installing BIOS version 2.2.9 on FC640 with local SD may result in the following purple screen in VMWare:

"The system has found a problem on your machine and cannot continue. Two filesystems with the UUID have been detected. Make sure you do not have two ESXi installations"

The release notes states "For PowerEdge FC640, update the IDSDM firmware to 1.9 version before updating BIOS to 2.2.9 or later versions."

BIOS 2.2.9 was released 30/05/2019

IDSDM 1.9 will not be released until 24/06/2019 (confirmed with technical support)

So if you have a FC640 with SD cards and its not yet the release date for IDSDM 1.9 you may want to rollback the BIOS update.

I have this issue after updating BIOS to v2.2.9. A rollback to the previous version of the BIOS will get you running again.

IDSDM v1.9 is still not available for download

I also ran into this issue after a recent BIOS upgrade. Even though IDSDM 1.9 is now available it isn't offered via LifeCycle controller updates, so I updated via iDRAC (uploaded the 32bit update file). Logs suggested the update failed, but the firmware did apply and ESXi is booting again.
