Encrypt SQL Server Connection

I have a new installation of OpenManage Essentials 2.1 and have a quick question. Our OME database is hosted on a remote SQL Server cluster. Is there any way to configure the database connection to utilize encryption/SSL when connecting to the cluster? We need this for compliance with our security policy but unfortunately the install UI does not appear to expose this option.

Failing that is there any way to manually edit the connection string?

Note that this is in regards to encryption of the SQL Server connection between the OME and database servers, not HTTPS.

Thanks,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,

OME encrypts all sensitive information before it gets transferred to SQL Server.

Also, the connection information to SQL Server used by OME is encrypted and there is no option for a user to change this.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
Vijay.
