discovered and inventoried server missing from device tree...

I have a Dell 2950 that is correctly discovered and inventoried (can be found using Device Search & is listed in the total server count for discovered devices), but is completely missing from the device tree (not even under 'Unknown').  I can manually add a group and put it there - but it should be showing up under 'Servers'.

Hi,

Thanks for the post.

Can you give us more details like version of the OME you are using, how you are discovering the server with OME (which protocols).

Also, you can try the corresponding protocol test with Troubleshooting Tool and let us know the results.

This will help us in identifying your issue.

Thanks,
Vijay

Do you have OMSA installed on the server OS?

Version is 2.1.0 (same problem with previous version).  Protocols are SMTP and WMI - both work fine.  It is correctly being discovered (and inventoried).  I can manually place it in a group and it shows the correct status, etc..  Really the only problem, is that it is not being placed under the group 'Servers' in the device tree.

Server is a 2950 - I need 7.1.0 as it has a PERC 4e/DC with (2) PV220S - 7.1.0 is the last version that supports that card.

What is the server model? You need OMSA 8 if it is a 13G server.
