Device status turns red, but OME 2.1 doesn't throw an alert
Hi all,
I'm currently trying to set up OpenManage Essentials 2.1 and ran into a problem.
I've inventoried several server's iDRAC cards using WS-MAN, which worked well so far - I can see all of them in the OME dashboard and check their status (which is GREEN and YELLOW for most devices).
Now, if I pull the power cord on a test server (with redundant PSU of course), the server shows up in RED in the dashboard, but the "Alerts" window to the right stays empty, and under "Manage" -> "Devices" -> "All Alerts" nothing shows up, either. And obviously no E-Mail is sent.
There's probably an easy fix for that, can anybody point me in the right direction? I can provide screenshots (but only of the german OME interface) if that helps.

Hi, thanks for the query.
Are the server iDRACs properly set up to send SNMP traps to OpenManage Essentials? The settings can be found under "Alerts" and "Network" settings menu in iDRAC console.
If this is already done, please send a test trap from one of the affected servers and see that it shows up in OpenManage Essentials.
Do let us know of results.
