Dell PE R530 - Win2016 Std - OMSA 9.1 Hardware Log - Year 2154

Clean install of Windows Server 2016 Standard on a Dell PowerEdge R530.

Windows updates, Dell SUU updates including latest firmware as on 27th March 2018.

Downloaded and installed Dell OpenManage Server Administrator 9.1  (Still doesn't work on IE, but works on Chrome.  Really Dell - this should be bread and butter to allow it to work on IE).

Looked at the Main System Chassis - all Green ticks  (you would expect that on a new server and updates).

Looked at the System - Logs - Hardware, a whole list of items in the Year 2154.
Cleared the Hardware Log and shows Log cleared on Sat May 4 19:00:36 2154.

System date and time is correct and I haven't come back from the future.

Looked at the Alert Log - a whole list of items for this month and year.

Please explain and fix.

Also have the same issue as others have witnessed of iDRAC8 firmware update of 2.52.52.52 (Build 12) leaving 2 x Mass Storage Function items listed in Device Manager.

Dell, this is not good enough for a new server.  I have had better installation and configuration setups on previous Dell Server.

Kind Regards

Paul HS

Note- One fix found... Dell OpenManage Server Administrator 9.1 on Windows Server 2016

In the past, I have always set IE Enhanced Security Configuration  = Off for Administrators

It appears in Windows Server 2016 that you do need to set On for Administrators otherwise intranet sites don't work.

The site https:// also needs to be added to Local Intranet.

Hope this helps some of you...

FWIW this only appears to be an issue in the browser

"C:\Program Files\Dell\SysMgt\idrac\racadm.exe" getsel

returns the correct timestamp for the events. There is a 9.1.1 release, but currently only for R940 & R840 and I don't have any of them to test on. I did wonder if this was a locale issue, we are en_GB; perhaps it doesn't manifest for en_US systems?

No Events found!
