DELL OME 2.01.222 System Update not working

Hi,

System Update not working:

I can not import online catalog  - no error messages, no import

I can not change online source - it remains all the time  downloads.dell.com/.../catalog.cab

I've downloaded catalog.cab from the link ftp://ftp.dell.com/catalog/catalog.cab and then Itried to import it. Nothing happens and the source catalog remains to online source: downloads.dell.com/.../catalog.cab

Thanks in advance and kind regards,

Augustin

Hi Martin,

Couple of things to try:

  • Can you check in the logs section in OME UI if you find something obvious?
  • Are all the proxy settings proper?
  • Can you try restarting the DSM Essentials DAService, then try to import the catalog and see if it works?

Hi Dell-Pupul,

My name is Augustin Mos, not Martin. Friends call me Gusty.

So,

1. the proxy settings are correct and were tested using "Test connection" in Preferences Tab.

2. I've restarted the DSM Essentials DAService and the same, the import of the catalog is not done.

3. In the Logs Tab I can find these, but I'm not sure this is relevant:

Thanks in advance and kind regards,

Gusty

Hi Augustin,

So sorry for the mistake.

I cannot see the attached screenshot.

Can you try restarting DSM Essentials TaskManager Service in sequence with DA service and let us know? Looks like a bump. We might have to open a trouble ticket to see what is wrong with the configuration.

Hi Dell-Pupul,

No problem.

I did as you suggested, but no results. The problem persists.

The log is:

Looks like a trouble ticket. Please call 800-945-3355 and raise a trouble ticket, support guys will be able to look into the configuration and tell what is going wrong.

Hi Dell-Pupul,

Thanks for the answers and support.

Do you know 800-945-3355 is free of charge?

It's interesting that others don't have the problem I have. At least, it seems so.

Maybe a Hotfix, upgrade to a new version or a fresh reinstallation could solve the problem.

What do you think?

Kind regards,

Augustin

Well yeah, probably. A reinstall should fix it but i cannot say that unless i know what the problem is. You can try uninstalling and reinstalling if it is not a production environment, it may work.

What is the address in OME where you are getting the repo from?
What is the version of OME in your environment?

@axel-zit, I would advise you to upgrade to the latest 2.1 version of OME http://delltechcenter.com/ome
