Dell License Manager - No Matching Licenses are available?

I'm in the process of setting up Dell License manager and have imported an inventory of servers which already have licensing installed on them (iDRAC + OME CfgMgr).

However I find that whenever I try to Deploy one of the licenses back to the server (to test), I am advised that "No Matching licenses are available".  This seems weird because I am looking at them all.

I can however export the license archive and then manually import the XML license via the iDRAC interface successfully.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong with License Manager

Hi, thanks for the query.

The reason why you are seeing "No matching licenses are available" error is because the license is already deployed on the target server. For your testing, please try these steps:

1. Export the license to local file system.

2. Navigate to Devices page and remove the same license from the device. This option is available under license details for selected device.

3. Import the exported license back into DLM.

4. Deploy the license now.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Shivendra,

This did resolve this issue which is great.

If you are able to provide some feedback to the DLM Devs suggesting that in this situation the error message should probably be "License Already Deployed", that would be awesome.
