Can't install OME with Local SQL. Stuck in a loop
I'm trying to install OME 2.5 (fresh install) and use a local SQL database. The installer says I don't have SQL, which I didn't. I clicked the link to install SQL 2014 and went through those steps. After it got done, and I re-scanned the dependencies, OME still says I don't have SQL. If I click Install and choose Yes for Local, it re-installs SQL 2014 again.
I seem to be stuck in a loop as I've done this 3 or 4 times now.. What do I have to do to get this to install?
If I check the Installed Programs, I do see SQL 2014 says it's installed fine. OME just doesn't seem to be able to see it.

Hello
You may want to try restarting the server to get the newly installed program to register properly. Also, I would recommend reviewing the installation guides to make sure all of the pre-requisites are met. There may be additional steps or limitations based on the specific environment you are using.

What is the version and edition of Windows OS that you are using? Also, please verify SQL 2014 installed fine by running Troubleshooting database test.

I'm installing on Server 2016. I tried rebooting but it had no effect.
When I run the installer it gives me a warning that SQL isn't the right version. I click the link to install it and it installs. But then it still shows me the warning.
If I install OME anyway, as soon as I click to use a local database, it does the SQL 2014 install all over again.
What is the Troubleshooting Database Test you are referring to?
Here's a video of my loop.

Hi,
In the video it looks like SQL installation is finishing prematurely. Since it is silent/passive install, error is not shown. I would recommend to cleanup SQL from this system, reboot and then install SQL manually. SQL Server installer is present inside OME installer package, path - ...\windows\ManagementStation\support. Make sure to use SQLEXPRESSOME instance name during installation. If the SQL Server installer throws any error, good to review the same and mitigate.
Let us know how it goes.
