Cannot classify PE 6950
Hi,
Having a few issues trying to get an old 6950 classified as a 6950 in OME 2.1. ATM, it is coming up as UNclassified.
It is a windows 2008R2 box with OMSA 8.1 running OK.
I have tried iDRAC (server out of band), Server with OMSA, Windows server without OMSA as the Device Type Filtering, but none pick up the model of the box.
Any ideas what to try next?

Hi John,
iDRAC OOB discovery is not supported on 9th generation servers so that is ruled out.
What happens when you try to connect to this server with Dell troubleshooting tool through SNMP and WMI? You can find it on desktop, gets installed with OME. You should be able to see the OMSA, OMSS and MIB II details.
Few basic things to check would be SNMP community string (it is case sensitive), firewall settings on OME and target server, required ports should be allowed through firewall.
