Alerting setup
I have 2 questions. I'm working on setting up the Alters for network Monitoring. On our previous alerting S/W just like with Open manage It will send me an alert if something is offline or unreachable. With the previous one it would also send a corresponding email when that system came back online. Is there a way of getting Open manage to do that?
The other problem We have several DELL ESXI hosts and Open manage is monitoring them. We're getting an occasional alert (below) from various hosts at different times saying the host is powered off but it is not. Is there perhaps a timeout setting or something I missed that is misreading the status?
Device:ESXINAME XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX, Service Tag:6XXXXX, Asset Tag:Unknown, Date:10/19/2015, Time:21:01:27, Severity:Critical, Message:Virtual machine is powered OFF

Hi, Thanks for the post.
OME generates internal alert to indicate "system is down" / "system is up". Creating email alert action on top of these events should solve the issue.
Note: These alert are OME internal alerts which are generated only when OME detects the system/target is offline or unreachable. Normally this detection happens only when status poll/discovery/inventory cycles are running.
For your second problem, I could see message says "Virtual machine is powered off", not the host. This is more of ESX alert generated when VM is powered off.
Hope this helps.
